November - December 2009

Have you ever wondered why it is that we do what we do? Is there any thing to acquire? Do we only reap the experiences we have of life?
As we court the question something in us responds. Could the question take us to even deeper questions? What is life all about? Why are we here? Who is experiencing this moment? As we engage in our community and activities provided, notice the gifts that are received. We do not catch any fish yet we have the glorious experience of participating in life.
With the holiday season upon us opportunities present themselves to celebrate in a nontraditional manner. In these next month’s we have several events occurring that may be of interest. Workshops on prosperity will be held on Halloween day. In November we begin with our AUCTION. This is always a night of merriment for all. Please bring your friends and make this a huge success.
While I am at the Parliament of the World Religions in Australia, several speakers will grace our Center. Rev. Pat King comes to us from San Diego and will visit us for two weeks as she inspires us with her heart felt wisdom. She will conduct Satsang during the week and lead Nature walks on Saturdays.
By popular demand: Thanksgiving at the Rowland Farm is on again. We are so blessed to have this yearly event. Thanks Barbara and Paul!
Holiday season would not be complete with a Candlelight Service and the World Peace Meditation. In addition, we are showing a movie called THE SHADOW EFFECT which features Depak Chopra and Marianne Williamson as they explore integrating the shadow into our lives. This is an amazing video that is not offered in the theaters.
The theme for November is THE WISDOM OF AUTUMN and we explore AMAZING GRACE in the month of December. When we contemplate something deeply, as Goethe says, it has the potential of creating a change within us.
The invitation to go fishin’ in the ocean of our soul is always there. Notice what happens when you say “yes”
